Walking Path Bridge
Lander, WY
March 2014 |
I was in Lander last week for two appointments and took advantage of the gorgeous weather to walk along the river. It is too early for the spring run-off, so the river was not very high, but the water was crystal-clear.
I'd estimate the water was about 14 - 20 inches deep in this area, but every stone on the river bed is visible. The water was extremely cold and icy in shady places.
Lander has some beautiful places to explore on foot.
So pretty! I hope you have more days like this where you can get out and enjoy some sunshine.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a beautiful day for a walk. I can imagine in a few weeks, that river will be running much more quickly.
ReplyDeleteCan just imagine how pretty it is when all those trees are full and green. Like that bridge.
ReplyDeletehaving just read the book about Cougar attacks, Im worried about you in the woods!!!!! Although the odds are certainly in your favor!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice river pictures. Don't you just KNOW that water was refreshingly icy? I like seeing it so clear. I guess you didn't dip your toes in, eh?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! It's great to see that crystal clear water. Our weekend was nice too, but today we are about to be hit with another winter storm. The snow is just starting to fall and it's very cold again. Guess we just had a little teaser of spring.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful that it makes me miss Wyoming, and I have only visited there.
ReplyDeleteLooks so nice!!!.... Glad spring is coming!!
ReplyDeleteLooks chilly but nice. Love the blue sky especially!
ReplyDeleteLooks like most of the snow has left! Open water..and clear too..a benefit of living in a great State! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice place to walk, and talk about crystal clear.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a story book setting. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGosh that is so pretty!!! The sky just goes forever doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteStunning!! Thanks for sharing your walk with us.
