Fiber Fever
Tempting piles of luscious fiber I purchased three of these large (800 yards) hanks of superwash merino for future projects |
See those orange signs on the edge of the table - marketing at its best! The signs changed each day, but actually said the same thing - "(insert day of the week) ONLY - 50% off" |
Regardless of the somewhat misleading "Sale" signs, the prices were reasonable; the fiber content and color selection were varied. |
The yarn is pretty, but the sales tactic is deceitful.
ReplyDeleteI started to hyperventilate when I saw ALL that fiber. Have. Mercy.
ReplyDeleteHow to choose with all that yarn!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done much with yarn for the last few months, but seeing all those colors makes me think maybe I should pick up my needles or a hook again soon.
ReplyDeleteOH MY! Seriously Nancy, you know how to have fun! Jealous, that's what I am. Only 3? That's self control at it's best.
ReplyDeleteI think that amount of fiber would have overwhelmed me! What fun searching thrtough it all!
ReplyDeletelooks and sounds like you had a fabulous time. I find I have to go into those events with a plan or all the options are overwhelming. But they are fun to attend. g
ReplyDeleteAh it's like yarn heaven! I would have left with several sweater quantities worth if possible.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Like gMarie, I have to have a plan/budget and stick to it or I get sucked in!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!! makes you want to get started on a cozy sweater for winter!!
ReplyDeleteI loved what you picked out of this glorious pile of yarn. Wonder what pattern you'll use first...
ReplyDeleteThere is some good looking yarn there! I'm afraid I would have been more than tempted to buy 50% off yarn even though I am trying to stop impulse buying. It's hard when it comes to yarn!!
ReplyDeleteAll that yarn makes my fingers itch to get to it, and start making something. You must have had fun.

Clearly, you are immune to the dreaded "yarn pox" disease, which causes one to buy LOTS of yarn on a whim, especially when it is on sale. I, on the other hand, am NOT immune, but rather display the disease quite often. It tends to lie dormant until KnitPicks has a yarn sale, and then it flares up with a vengence... I hope I am not contagious. I have infected SEVERAL people with the "quilt pox" and they now are displaying multiple symptoms.
ReplyDeleteahhhhh that' s like a Christmas Present post...all that lovely lovely Yarn!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW I imagine it all knit up in booties... tons and tons of booties
