February's Quilt Blocks

This month's patterns were All Hallows Block
and Old Maid's Puzzle.
I made both blocks this afternoon. My finished blocks are not perfect by any means: my points do not match and the blocks are not the size they are supposed to be. I have tremendous respect and admiration for quilters who can make a perfect block with every seam matched. I have learned that I can strive for this goal, but I am not devastated when it does not happen.
beautiful! Quilting is something I've never really tried. It's always intimidated me.
ReplyDeleteTHEY LOOK GREAT TO ME, WHERE'S THE UGLY MATERIAL? I DON'T DO A LOT OF QUILTING BECAUSE EVERTHING TURNS OUT WRONG, NOTHING MATCHES, BUT I DO LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteThe seams look good from here. But, I am having a hard time picking out the "ugly" fabric.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been following the discussion on Stashbuster but I did see they were doing a sampler. I'm not a perfect piecer either but I don't go crazy - little variations don't show once it's quilted and washed.
