Swing of the Pendulum
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, the pendulum clock on the wall stopped because it required winding, and since I wasn't home, it sat idle until I returned and picked up the key.
Like the clock, this blog sat idle for a long time: the most recent post was on Halloween. I could give you the excuse that I've been busy, but in actuality, I was not interested in blogging: I needed a break.
During the last month, I've enjoyed listening to numerous audiobooks. I played endless games on my iPad, tried new recipes, visited with friends, played games at the senior center, read blogs and left comments. I posted about none of these activities, but I enjoyed them and enjoyed being in the moment.
Starting today, blog posts will be sporadic until I find a new rhythm.
Glad all is well.

ReplyDeleteGood to "hear" your voice again Nancy. I've missed your posts. BUT...I understand the need for a break and I'm glad to read that you've been enjoying yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou've been treating yourself well, as spending time with friends and just enjoying "things" is important.
ReplyDeleteI hear you. I struggle from time to time finding things worthy of sharing on a daily basis. Some days I just want to sit on the couch and stare out the window. The only interesting thing I've done today is pick up groceries and give the dog a bath-which is not exactly good blog fodder.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're enjoying life! Keep it going!
ReplyDeleteI have missed your posts. I love reading what you write, sometimes a break is good:)
ReplyDeleteI went through this too. I've since landed on once a month at the end of the month. I keep adding to a post in draft mode and then publish at the end of the month. Similar to a Christmas letter.
ReplyDeleteSometimes one needs a break from all the online social whir and noise. Do what feels right to you. Enjoy the season.
ReplyDeleteYou need to take care of yourself also! I was worried about you and good to hear you are fine! Julie
ReplyDeleteIt cycles like all things in our lives. It's okay with us--we are here for you; it is nice to hear from you, too!
