None of the pieces of pottery in this factory were mass produced : each piece was painstakingly, hand-painted. Note the book in front of the artist being used as a reference to the design.

That's a huge piece too, I wonder how long one takes!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a huge piece. I envy those that can paint without shaking.
ReplyDeleteI am awed by the patience and artistic talent of these artisans.
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine tackling something like that even if I could paint:)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I also noticed how thick the artist's glasses are. I guess it is true that one could go blind painting such small, intricate designs.
ReplyDeleteLove the softness of the blues. Such detail and care!
ReplyDeleteAmazing artistry. I can only imagine how steady the hand must be to do this work.
ReplyDeleteImpressive. I cannot paint or draw, so I admire it all the more.
ReplyDeleteI could never keep my hand steady while painting in that position. WOW!
