Go USA
I couldn't resist making red, white, and blue bibs while watching the Olympics.
Don't you love the plaid-like color arrangement, created by the variegated yarn. One 4-ounce ball of Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton (Americana) was just enough to make these two bibs. The pattern link can be found here.
On a side note:
Kudos to the designers of the Team USA Olympic clothing. Thankfully, the wild and tacky designs of years past are gone, hopefully, for good.

Looks like we are all doing Olympic knitting, regardless of the country! I doubt I will be able to accomplish much when Canada plays the U.S. in men's hockey - that's always an edge-of-the-seat game. Your bibs are great, and the yarn is perfect for a project like this.
ReplyDeletefantastic plaid! I love them.
ReplyDeleteThe way the colors fell is perfect!
ReplyDeleteReally cute Nancy! My mom loves all things Americana and would like these. I'm going to go buy some of that cotton yarn and maybe make placemats... or more dish cloths. I made her some dish cloths out of the red, white, and blue varegated cotton yard by Lily - sugar-n-cream, but they are a little too bulky for her to ring out.
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Go USA! but...I love all the other teams too, and just love watching the whole thing, don't you??
