I Did It!
March 2023 |
Dee (Wool and Steel) posted about her recent sock knitting projects: she has SEVEN pair on the needles. I commented that she was tempting me to cast on a pair of socks: she replied, "Do It! Do It!," so I did.
I haven't knit on socks for months - five months to be exact, so it was time to get busy knitting. Yesterday during the FaceTime call with my sister and niece, I cast on this sock and knit nearly two inches of the cuff.
Thanks for the nudge, Dee!
We are all such enablers!
ReplyDeleteWe are all enablers, as the previous comment says. But good for you! That yarn looks like it will make some elegant socks.
ReplyDeleteYay socks!
ReplyDeleteNice!!! Glad Dee was able to convince you:)
ReplyDeleteI've got two pair of socks on the go, plus a cardigan for me.
ReplyDeleteNice work. They look like they will go with almost anything, too!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! I get twitchy if I don't have a least one pair on the needles.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we just need a little nudge from a friend! lol Nice yarn for a pair of socks!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. Dee is certainly an encourager isn't she? That's really nice yarn too.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
It's been a very long time since I've knitted a pair of socks. That's a pretty color you are knitting.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good start!! I would never be able to cast on during a facetime call...I need to concentrate too much!
ReplyDeleteYea! A blog worthy activity! That is really pretty yarn. You would be very proud of me. I'm actually wearing some of my hand knit wool socks. They do keep my feet warm especially when I spend the day in my basement studio.
