Loving Care

I found this doily (nearly 24 inches in diameter) on the Sale Table at the Senior Center. Even though it had a large water stain, the intricate crocheted piece was worth purchasing. Fortunately, the stain came out with a good soak in sudsy water and a vinegar rinse. All it needed was some TLC.

  1. Good of you to appreciate it and restore it. I have a framed doily that someone in my father's family made... I love it.

  6. That is gorgeous. My mom used to crochet doilies and each of my DDs have some she made. When I whined because I didn't have any, she sent me some. Some she had bought at a bazaar, not ones she made! LOL But my girls treasure theirs. And I treasure mine that someone else's mother made. :)
