A Blanket is Born

I cast on 100 stitches and knit the required garter stitch border. Then I knit a pattern, new to me. Sorry, I don't even know the name of the pattern.
Row 1: K
Row 2: K 3 (border stitches), Purl all stitches until 3 stitches remain, K 3 (border stitches)
Row 3: K 3 (border stitches), * K 1, P1* (repeat between *s to last 4 stitches), K 4
Row 4: Same as row 2
I repeated this pattern until the blanket measured four inches. Now, "Summer Blossoms" is ready for the next knitter.
Where will it go?
Update: August 2008
Summer Blossoms is close to being completed. It still needs another section and an edging.

Update:

I named this blanket, "Cotton Candy."
It's precious. I love that yarn. Our wish our Wal-Mart carried it. I recently finished working on the Angel Kisses Oddball Preemie blanket. I think I enjoyed it more than the full sized Oddball blanket, since it's a quicker knit.
