Natural Bouquet

natural bouquet at the top of a rose bush
Laramie, WY

A couple of weeks ago, I spotted this unusual cluster of roses on the top of a large rose bush near a neighboring apartment building. The bush is large and clearly reaches the eaves of the building.

Thanks to colder temperatures, it is no longer blooming. The colorful cluster of roses made me smile every time I saw it because it was so unusual. Have you ever seen a cluster of roses like this?

  2. I have never seen that before. I was just out front surveying my gardens and remarking to The Mister about the weird behavior we saw from all the plants this year. I guess it was the drought. It's still too dry here. We're going to have to do a lot of pruning and hope everything survives it.

  5. My climbing roses do that. Right now, all the blooms are at the top of the arbour.

  6. I've never seen it either. It would be beautiful for sure!
I have a friend in Sheridan who was poised to evacuate a couple of weeks ago. Those fires have been awful.
    Blessings and hugs,

  8. I have not. That sure would be easy to put into a vase. LOL Minimal fussing for sure.

  10. We haven't had roses for years. When we lived in Powhattan we had 5 or 6 bushes -- the deer ate them down to the ground. (Really deer? There weren't enough Hostas for you?)
