Blue Hawaii
Blue Hawaii is a West Coast Oddball Baby Blanket.
Needle size: 8
Stitch count: 111
Yarn: Worsted (I used Caron Simply Soft)
Update: January 20, 2012
Started in December 2010, this blanket became hopelessly stalled with one knitter for over nine months. It was a struggle to get Blue Hawaii back into circulation. I am glad this beautiful blanket is finished and ready for a baby.
I LOVE THESE ODDBALL BLANKETS. EVERYONE SEEMS TO USE A DIFFERENT STITCH AND THE BLANKET COMES TO LIFE.
ReplyDeleteWhite foam for the wave is a great additon...
ReplyDeleteThe white works nicely with the turquoise colors.
ReplyDeleteIt really does look like waves. Now it just needs a little sand bar along the bottom :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! I love turquoise :)
ReplyDeleteOh that's very nice! I love the oddball blankets.
ReplyDeleteNancy, this blanket is so pretty! The colors are very relaxing to me. I can imagine cuddling up in and adult size blanket like this!
ReplyDeleteWhite is a nice addition to these colors. This is a fun blanket.
