Sewing Up a Storm

Snow days make for wonderful sewing days. I’m at Marilyn’s house this week for a Sisters’ Quilting Retreat. I’m working on some Quilt of Valor kits I prepared a couple of weeks ago, and Marilyn is working on an on-going project.

I prepared five kits to work on while I’m here, but I don’t think I’ll need all of them. I also have my knitting with me and work on it in the evening.

  1. How lovely! Snow days are perfect for slowing down and getting some things done you never have time for. I always look forward to them. We didn't have a single one this year. Not one. In all my life I never known a year without snow. I hope it's not a trend.

  2. What fun to sew together with your sister. I'm going on a "quilting cruise" with some friends in mid June and can't wait. I'm as excited about sewing with the friends as I am about taking another Alaskan cruise. LOL

  10. Stay warm and cozy. It's always good to spend time with a sister. The pile of trimmings makes me smile. That is why your quilts look so beautiful, though.

  12. Oh, how fun to have sister time and to be able to sew and knit too is perfect. The snow this year is crazy. I'm ready for "real" spring.
    Blessings,
