Sewing Up a Storm
snowy morning April 22, 2023 Centennial, CO |
Snow days make for wonderful sewing days. I’m at Marilyn’s house this week for a Sisters’ Quilting Retreat. I’m working on some Quilt of Valor kits I prepared a couple of weeks ago, and Marilyn is working on an on-going project.

I prepared five kits to work on while I’m here, but I don’t think I’ll need all of them. I also have my knitting with me and work on it in the evening.
How lovely! Snow days are perfect for slowing down and getting some things done you never have time for. I always look forward to them. We didn't have a single one this year. Not one. In all my life I never known a year without snow. I hope it's not a trend.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to sew together with your sister. I'm going on a "quilting cruise" with some friends in mid June and can't wait. I'm as excited about sewing with the friends as I am about taking another Alaskan cruise. LOL
ReplyDeleteSnowy days are good for sewing, but I don't want any for a while, lol.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy the snow! And then may it leave forever!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you to be at a retreat! I'm sure the piecing is going well--you just might finish most of the five!
ReplyDeleteIt must be so nice to have time with your sister. Sorry about the weather, but at least you have plenty to keep you occupied! Have fun.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be visiting and stitching with your friend.
ReplyDeleteOops, only just read the comments, Marilyn is your sister, although she is sure to be a wonderful friend as well.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and cozy. It's always good to spend time with a sister. The pile of trimmings makes me smile. That is why your quilts look so beautiful, though.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with your sister! That will make a beauty of a quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh, how fun to have sister time and to be able to sew and knit too is perfect. The snow this year is crazy. I'm ready for "real" spring.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
