I find the lava flowing uncontrollable and awesome at the same time. Of course Minnesota has no volcanos:)Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6407290539855175918.post-74113553896644906972018-05-25T06:05:24.987-06:002018-05-25T06:05:24.987-06:00The pictures you posted are what all of us assumed...The pictures you posted are what all of us assumed would be the status quo for our lifetimes....it is awe inspiring to see such incredible lava eruptions and heart breaking to see how it impacts lives. I've never been to Hawaii. I rarely think about the what-ifs when there are present concerns; it's how I'm wired. We also looked at a possible house for our retirement in Lelani Estates, the housing development that is being overtaken by lava. We were thinking of buying a home and renting it as a vacation home until we retire. So very glad we didn't pursue that dream.
Yellowstone, well that's a whole different story isn't it? Some say it's on the brink of erupting and it would be the end of the U.S. as we know it. Other scientists say eruption is a long way off. Who knows which is right?
Blessings,
BetsyBetsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00807691752817225336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6407290539855175918.post-22538549824778212452018-05-24T13:42:27.419-06:002018-05-24T13:42:27.419-06:00So cool that you were there (safely) You must rea...So cool that you were there (safely) You must really identify with it all nowkathy bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17534431969086721507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6407290539855175918.post-2017235244290392742018-05-24T13:23:18.570-06:002018-05-24T13:23:18.570-06:00I am just amazed at the footage coming out of Hawa...I am just amazed at the footage coming out of Hawaii. We were here in WA when Mt. Saint Helens erupted and well remember that; one of our main highways south was affected even though it was a good distance away. There had been a small eruption that summer and it closed a road we wanted to travel to actually see the lava flows. I can only imagine how things have changed this spring.Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06412341664506380343noreply@blogger.com
