Like you, I will add a row of crochet to a hat or even an afghan, but that is all. I am awed by knitters who can switch back and forth from needles to hook without an "ouch." Yep, crochet is definitely the one that escapes me!Katherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06450679959206351852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6407290539855175918.post-9707935493309904182012-08-22T14:19:58.766-06:002012-08-22T14:19:58.766-06:00I know... the way they show to hold a crochet hook...I know... the way they show to hold a crochet hook just doesn't work for me, so I hold it like a knitting needle and can crochet up a storm with no dropped stitches. Why not give that a try and see if it helps? Good luck! I was thinking the other day that I needed to do some crochet... it works up SOOOO much faster than knitting socks. Perhaps I will crochet some of my hand-spun yarn, WHEN I get back to working on that!fancystitchinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10654207900601007111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6407290539855175918.post-79939300044847258732012-08-22T10:44:27.404-06:002012-08-22T10:44:27.404-06:00But now you know enough crochet to do a provisiona...But now you know enough crochet to do a provisional crocheted cast-on!Paula, the quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17662592713610165406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6407290539855175918.post-1837497468682703712012-08-22T10:03:30.478-06:002012-08-22T10:03:30.478-06:00Ha, ha, ha; great cartoon. The gal teaching me had me holding it like it was a pancake spatula, with the hook pointing towards the pan.
