Back in Time - Wyoming Homestead

approx. 1939 or 1940
I am not sure, but I think this man is my maternal grandfather. I love the scene behind him -- the house, the sheets hanging on the line, the old car, and the Wyoming landscape, an area filled with promise.

  3. That's a good picture of him. I think the folks that came out west to homestead were tough ol' cookies. I admire their grit.

  4. You have to wonder how clean the sheets really were after hanging in the dusty wind. LOL

I agree with Nancy Kay ---- you HAD to be a touch ol' cookie to live out that remote.

  6. I agree, it's a great photo. Great shades of gray, and who doesn't love the word homestead and a grampa in a cardigan?
