Knit in Public

Knit in Public
Lander, WY
June 9, 2012

A small group of fiber guild members met in front of the old Lander library to knit in public. While the location was off the beaten path, we knit and visited from 10AM until nearly 2PM.

Where did you Knit in Public this year?

  1. Everyone looks comfy and relaxed, enjoying the time together. I rarely knit in public. When I do though, it is usually while traveling on an airplane.

  2. Never heard of this group but sounds like fun and a great way to meet new people. The one here in my area has already met but will try to keep a check on it. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Looks like a fine group of knitters on a beautiful day! I always get such nice remarks from passersby when I knit in public. Last week it was at Weight Watchers. The whole group insisted I bring the sweater I was working on when it is assembled because they all want to see it. What a nice way for people to say, "You are important to us!"

  6. how simple and how perfect..... I knitted in public in the wee hours on my very brief break at work in the hospital. Everyone wondered why I was knitting a wool scarf. So silly. Don't they know knits take time?? I have to finish it today or tomorrow and move on.

  7. Well, I was out in public knitting, but other than the DH, it was by myself.

Your group looks quite content! :-)

  8. Airport! Flight was 3 hours late and I accomplished many rows, whoohoo. Interesting how even in a airport people ask about your knitting; today was a baby hat made with that wonderful Baby Jacquard yarn. Fun.......(Sara, NE)
