Decisions, Decisions

I've been auditioning more layouts for my half-square triangles, and I need your opinions.

Please take into consideration that I will not be using any sashing between the blocks, so look how well they "play" together.

Ready?

Here are the choices:

This is "A"

This is "B"

This is "C"
(Note that is is a reverse of "D")

This is "D"
(Note that is is a reverse of "C")

This is "E"

This is "F"

This is "G"
(the layout I posted last week)

What is your eye telling you about these layouts? Any favorites?

Thanks for your input

  1. This is a hard choice, because there are so many good ones. I'm going to pick C. I also like the simplicity of F.

  2. Well, here is my two cents worth and REMEMBER I don't quilt so my thoughts are simply that...thoughts. Rather than my "eye" I am going by how it makes me feel when I look at it.....A & B makes me feel scattered
C makes me feel closed in
D...makes me feel put together and I like it
    E...makes me feel flighty
F...makes me feel restricted and G.....makes me feel safe and is my favorite. Love the combination of squares.

  3. Oh my - difficult choices so early in the AM.

D or G are my first impressions. They seem so "comfy."

    But ????

  4. I would go for D or G - I'd have to toss a coin to decide which one!

  7. Wow...you have made some interesting designs. I am torn between D & G. I like them both the best. More pattern emerges, I guess.

  8. All of them look great, so whatever speaks to your heart would be best. The ones I prefer are E and R. With my eye, they both sparkle and are a bit unique in the layout.

  9. I meant to have E &G not E&R wherever that came from. Sorry fo any confusion.

  10. I think you already made your decision, but I thought I'd chime in! I really like E the best. Why? I don't know, the pattern just caught my eye the most! Whatever you decide will look wonderful! :)

  13. Hi Nancy:
You've been hard at work. I've been blowing in the wind. Not posting, not getting all that much done. Love all the blocks. I like D and F. Nothing alike at all but those speak to me. B.

  14. A or E! And I think the reason is the secondary patterns after you look it for a while. It's all what you feel--they're all great. Your choice!
